The software development sector in Spain
The size of the software development market in Spain is projected to reach 16,310 million by 2030, after growing at a compound annual growth rate of 9.8 % during the 2023-2030 period.
Spanish start-ups raised 1.9 billion euros in venture capital, according to data from Dealroom. That is almost four times as much as in the first half of 2020, when 500 million euros were raised. As the region experiences a surge in venture capital funding, there is growing momentum to tackle the labour shortage within the region’s tech community by training workers to operate in Spanish.

Mordor Intelligence forecasts a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.12 %, with a market value of 532.33 billion US dollars in 2025 and a forecast of 862.01 billion US dollars by 2030. Meanwhile, Business Research Insight estimates a CAGR of 14.51 %, with a market value of 435.99 billion US dollars in 2024 and a forecast of 1.4759 trillion US dollars by 2032.
