Aim and objectives of the programme
The Programme aims to promote R&D&I in the agri-food and forestry sectors, in order to produce more efficiently and sustainably and to be more competitive in national and international markets.
Objectives:
Identifying and prioritising the needs and opportunities of the sector.
Include the action lines in national and EU R&D&I programming and funding.
Facilitate and promote the dissemination, participation, communication and transfer of results between the actors in the sector (farmers, producers, researchers, universities, companies, administrations, technology platforms, etc.) and guide them in the innovation process.

R2: Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research and bio-economy.
R5: Climate action, environment, resource and raw material efficiency
European Funds
Through the ERDF and ESF funds: the Ministry of Education and Culture assigns to the ESF and the ERDF Fund a series of actions that are of interest to the agri-food sector and which include, respectively, support for training and innovation in companies.
Spanish Science and Technology and Innovation Strategy (2013-2020).
Within the challenge of food safety and quality; productive and sustainable agricultural activity; sustainability of natural resources, marine and maritime research.
