H2020 Grants for the e-health sector 2016- 2017

As we have already mentioned in previous posts, the e-health sector is a sector with a lot of potential that is receiving support from investors. In the last year several Spanish e-health companies such as Psios, TopDoctors and IglobalMed have received funding in the sector and we would like to share them with you.

 

SMS SME instrument

Within the SMS SME instrument there is a call to introduce ICTs in the health, welfare and elderly care sector. This support is carried out in two phases and has several cut-off dates.

Research and development actions

In-silico trials for developing and assessing biomedical products.

The aim of this support is to achieve innovations in the way research is done by combining biological knowledge with computational paradigms to simulate the psychology and psychopathology relevant to the product under study.

 Personalised computer models and in-silico systems for wellbeing 

Promote the development of new computational models and validity simulation systems that can be reused, based on open platforms and applied in the health sector.

Big Data supporting Public Health policies

Proposals to make better use of the vast amount of data in public health. Solutions to help improve data acquisition, management, sharing and exploitation.

Increasing digital security of health related data on a systemic level

Proposals that provide a holistic approach to address the challenges of secure storage and sharing of data, protection and control over personal data and security of health-related data collected by mobile devices along with the usability of e-health solutions.

Stimulating EU innovation by the acquisitions and incentive award

eHealth innovation in empowering the patient

 Actions that focus on enabling the incorporation of new services or improving the integration of existing services through ICT-based technologies to improve patient care, using relevant elements e.g. proof of concept, user acceptance, service use, professional training including online courses/forums that bring professionals and patients together, trust and confidence and patient consent.

PPI for uptake of standards for the exchange of digitised healthcare records

Proposals will aim at public procurement of innovative solutions (IPP) to facilitate the deployment of an e-Health infrastructure, taking into account the guidelines of the European Union and EU interoperability framework.

eHealth Food Scanner

1M prize for an accessible and non-invasive mobile solution to enable users to measure and analyse their food consumption for people with obesity, allergies or food intolerance.
