Spanish technology companies grow abroad through acquisitions: ADTZ and UserZoom
Adtz and UserZoom, who have made acquisitions in the last month, are two examples of Spanish companies that have made a commitment to innovation, have received the support of investors and are now betting on the international market to continue growing.

Userzoom buys YouEye

Userzoom is a Spanish company specialising in web analytics and usability and smart mobile devices, which last October received a €30M round of funding, making it one of the largest investments in a Spanish startup in the last two years.

The investors who backed the company were TC Growth Partners together with StepStone Group and Trident Capital.

The Barcelona-based firm has offices in Munich (Germany), London (UK), San Jose (USA) and Sydney (Australia) and has now decided to buy the Californian company. YouEyea startup specialising in usability testing through decrowdsourcing, focusing on the quality of the user panels that carry out usability and user experience testing of websites.

ADTZ buys UK-based Glow Digital Media

ADTZ which has positioned itself as one of Spain's leading social media advertising marketers in Southern Europe and Latin America, wants to go much further and has bought the large Anglo-Saxon market advertising company Glow Digital Media to become one of the world leaders in the field of social media advertising planning. The new group, which will operate under the brand name ADGLOW.

This acquisition is very good news for the Spanish startup ecosystem, as Glow Digital Media is a company that has received previous $8.25M in funding from prestigious investors such as Notion Capital, Onza Venture Capital and White Star Capital to undertake an ambitious commercial expansion project in international markets, as well as to carry out an unprecedented R&D investment for large-scale campaign management and optimisation.

For Juan Dominguez, CEO of ADTZ, the new acquisition is a major challenge for the company. "The acquisition of Glow gives us access to global customers that we can serve around the clock, every day of the year. The Glow team's knowledge of the English-speaking markets and its relationship with large, results-driven clients enhances our direct client area and is a perfect match for ADTZ's agency expertise," says Dominguez.
