Kahootfounded in 2012, is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share and play fun learning games. The platform offers learning games in minutes for any subject, in any language, on any device and for all ages.
Kahoot's easy-to-use platform and features appeal to educators and students, as well as corporate powerhouses, sporting and cultural events.
Dropsfounded in 2015, creates three main apps. First is an app of the same name, with free and paid features, that helps adults learn new languages, currently some 42 in total, with a focus on vocabulary, built around five-minute sessions.
A second application, Scripts, is aimed at learning to read, write and sign, and covers four alphabets and four character-based writing systems. A third, Droplets, is aimed specifically at language learning for students between the ages of eight and 17. In total Droplets has registered 25 million users.
Kahoot's objective with the purchase of the company Drops is to integrate more of the platform's functions and bring some of the Drops content into the main Kahoot platform.
