Fondico Global has chosen 9 funds in which it will invest €157M in its 7th call.

26 funds in 3 different categories: Expansion Capital, Venture Capital and Incubation, participated in the 7th Fondico call. Of these 26 funds, 9 have been selected, three in each category. Fondico will distribute €157M among these funds. Given the multiplier effect generated by this instrument, the funds participating thanks to this call will invest a minimum of €660M in Spain, which is 4.2 times the amount of €157M committed by FOND-ICO Global.

Which Mab companies are growing the most?

The two companies that have grown the most in the Mab in 2016 are focused on the software sector. Facephi is an example of a company that in 2016 is seeing a recovery after difficult years, while Alitia is an example of a company that Mab has helped to grow to become one of the leaders in its sector.

52 companies are participating in the development of these projects, 69.21% of which are SMEs. Eleven of the 51 projects closed in September belong to the field of ICTs. Another significant fact is that of the total number of companies involved, 23, i.e. 44%, are receiving Cdti funding for the first time.

The MAB, a means to close acquisitions?

MAB companies have started the new year with growth. Some, such as Eurona Wireless, have carried out capital increases in order to finance acquisitions, while others, such as Agile Content, have announced the purchase of companies. In addition, Inkemia has increased its shareholdings in its group companies through capital increases.

New additions to the MAB: Voztelecom and Atrys Health

In July, two new companies joined the MAB in the expansion capital category. One in the biotechnology sector, Atrys Health, and another in the telecommunications sector, Voztelecom. In addition, listed companies such as Mosmovil and Ab Biotics are making deals.

Fast track innovation call to support the market introduction of innovative solutions will be launched soon.

Fast track innovation is a grant within the H2020 framework, to finance activities of commercialisation of products but also services, processes and business models, carried out between 3 and 5 entities from at least 3 EU countries or associated members. This grant started in 2015, with 3 calls per year and in 2016 has followed the same plan. The last call will open in October.

Atrys to list on Mab tomorrow (Friday) after capital increase

Atrys will make its debut tomorrow on the MAB, after receiving the approval of the MAB incorporations committee. The company, which is the 35th company to be listed in the growth company category, is engaged in the provision of diagnostic services and medical treatments and the development of new therapeutic modalities and diagnostic tools.
