Basque Country M&A news: Jauregui, Teknia ,La Salve and others.
Las empresas Vascas están activas. Las empresas industriales Jauregui y Teknia han salido de compras para consolidar sus carteras de clientes. Además la empresa de cervezas la Salve ha recibido el apoyo de Mahou para poder construir su propia fábrica en Bilbao. Además las empresas vascas, como la tecnológica ticketbits,  también estan recibiendo el apoyo de los inversores.

 

Jauregui acquires Tacomi

The Basque business group Jáuregui, which specialises in the installation and maintenance of pipework and boilers, has acquired the Biscayan company Tacomi, a company specialising in the engineering, installation and industrial maintenance sector. Both companies are based in Derio.

Through this transaction, the Jauregui Group aims to expand and consolidate its client portfolio in the Basque Country by capitalising on Tacomi’s position in the fields of industrial installation, operation and maintenance.

Teknia acquires the Mexican company Samco

The Vizcaina company Teknia, a company specialising in the manufacture of components for the automotive sector, has acquired Samco, a machining technology company.

“This acquisition forms part of Teknia’s expansion strategy for 2015, as the company has announced that it will invest in mergers and acquisitions “for 2015, a portion of the total budget within its expansion plan,” says Diego Gutierrez of Abra-Invest.

Teknia acquired the Serbian company Promotor Irva, based in Kragujevac – one of the country’s most industrially developed regions – back in January,

Promotor Irva specialises in manufacturing using stamping and plastic injection moulding processes, primarily for the production of car jacks.

Mahou San Miguel acquires a 25% stake in La Salve

Mahou San Miguel has become a shareholder in the Bilbao-based company La Salve, with a 25% stake, which will drive the strategic plan forward with the construction of its own factory in Bilbao.

Salve beer has been on the market for eight months and is available at over 300 outlets.

Ticketbits secures €3 million in funding

Ticketbits The ticketing company has closed its fifth round of funding, raising €3 million. The round saw participation from several existing investors, including venture capital firm Active Venture Partners, French investor Fabrice Grinda and Spanish investor José Marín (IG Expansion).

The funding round aims to strengthen Ticketbit’s mobile platform, as well as to expand into new markets.
