Nektria, a Spanish company to improve e-commerce logistics, receives €2M to increase its workforce and grow in the European market.
About Nektria
Nektria, founded in Barcelona in 2012, has launched RECShipping, the first SaaS (Software as a Service) solution on the market that allows online consumers to choose the exact time slot in which they receive their online purchase, within the same online shopping process, with prices that fluctuate according to the logistical complexity associated with each delivery slot but also according to the consumer's willingness to pay.
The company had previously received 2 rounds of seed stage investment, which helped in the development of its product. The new €2M investment round will allow Nektria to expand into Northern Europe. The fact that the lead investor is Luxembourg-based Expon Capital is key for the company and its goal to grow in Northern Europe, as it knows the market.
Nektria's main clients are currently large online supermarkets, such as Ulabox, DIA, and other large chains, having already managed more than 186,500 transactions and with plans to reach operational break-even this June. Nektria's main partners include Miguel Valls (Dadata Capital), Marcos Bernat (Bernat Family Office), Hans Hickler (former CEO DHL USA), Charles Antoine Gondrand (LoGon Investments) as well as co-founders David Costa, Victor Tejedo, and Oriol Serra.
