Gartner, Softbank Digital dimension: Foreign investors interested in Spanish tech companies
In recent months we have seen how large international technology companies have set their sights on Spanish startups. Among the operations that have been carried out we highlight the purchase of Nubera by Gartner, that of Beabloo by Softbank and the purchase of Nexica by Digital Dimension.

Gartner buys Nubera

Gartner, la consultora creadora de los famosos ‘Magic quadrantsThe company, which ranks the fastest-growing and most talented technology companies in multiple sectors, has decided to bet on one of them: Nubera.

Nubera is a Barcelona-based startup that has developed Getapp, a platform for the selection of software and applications for companies.

Nubera was one of the companies owned by Nauta capital, who in 2011 led a €1.1 million investment round in the company. 

The purchase of Nubera is in line with Gartner's strategy to invest in world-class products and services that help clients make the best technology-related decisions every day.

Softbank invests in Beabloo

Softbankthe Japanese company that bought Sprint in the US and owns 32.59% of Alibaba and 54.9% of Alibaba. SuperCell has now decided to invest in Spain, leading a €10m round of investment in Catalan technology company Beabloo. Beabloo is a specialist in combining multichannel digital marketing and big data solutions in the environment of retail.

Also participating in the round were  Baozun Commercean e-commerce solutions provider and Softbank investee, and Chinese investor.

"This round is a great opportunity for Beabloo, which thanks to the funds raised will be able to carry out larger scale projects and access the Asian market," says Diego Gutierrez of Beabloo. Baker Tilly.

Digital Dimension buys Nexica

 Nexicaa company specialising in cloud computing services, has just been taken over by the French company Digital Dimension.

Founded in 1996, Nexica is the Spanish leader in cloud computing technology and services with customers such as Danone, Font VellaBank of Spain,

"After the entry of Digital Dimension, Nexica expects to acquire a company in Spain this year and become the market leader in the Spanish cloud market," said Diego Gutierrez.

Digital Dimension is a French firm that designs, finances and advises firms on their digital transformation. In recent years it has acquired several European technology firms including Rayonnace, ASP Serveur, ETS, TACTEM and Norcod.
