In April 2015, the Basque biotech company Sendabio has closed an investment round with an industrial partner. This capital injection will enable it to address its growth plan with the internationalisation of its products, initially in Latin America. Sendabio has been advised by Abra Invest for the successful completion of the operation.

What's new at the CDTI in 2014

The new European venture capital law will allow investment in real estate and listed firms.
The new European law regulating L/P investment funds will be implemented in the first half of 2015. Among the new features, the purchase of real estate assets and listed companies will be allowed, although certain conditions must be met.
The food sector active in acquisitions in February 2015
February 2015 was a very active month in the food sector. Ten sale and purchase transactions have been closed. In 2014 it registered a total of 60 mergers and acquisitions and in January 2015 it was the second most active sector in terms of number of transactions according to the Logic-fin study. Among the acquisitions carried out, the purchase of La Nevera Roja by Food Panda for €80m stands out.
