Major rounds in the energy sector
Carlyle invested $500M in July 2015 in Magma energy, an Indian oil and gas extraction company in India and South Asia.

SunRunan American company founded in 2007 as a provider of solar electricity for residential use. The company has raised $680M in 10 rounds, the latest being a $195M round in January 2015.
Leaf Solar Partnera company that designs, develops and installs solar panels and systems has received a $75M round of funding from Tamra-Tacoma Capital Partners to grow in the US, the company currently operates in California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey and New York.
Mytrah Energy The company, part of the Indian conglomerate Mytrah, is one of the leading independent renewable energy producers. The company received a $60M round of financing in April, in which they invested Aion Direct Singapore and Merrill Lynch International Ltd.
"Already before, in 2014 it received a $70M round and currently the company has revealed that it is managing an investment round of about $95 million to implement power projects for 100 MW" comments Diego Gutierrez.
