Finizens, the investment management robot, receives €4M
Finizens, the investment management robot, has announced a €4 million capital increase. The capital increase stems from Finizens' meteoric growth since its inception six months ago and the confidence of investors in its business model.
About Finizens

Finizens is an automated investment manager, founded in December 2016. Its investment philosophy is based on passive management, i.e. it invests through index funds (index funds or ETFs) which have significantly lower fees than the average.

The company recently starred in the first alliance in Spain between a bank and a savings and investments fintechFinizens has been one of the most innovative companies in the world of finance, having reached an agreement with Evo Banco, whereby the bank offers its customers robo-advisor services through Finizens' technological and digital platform. In addition, Finizens has received numerous awards as one of the most innovative companies in the world of finance, and is one of the finalists in the Startup Competition of the South Summit 2017.

Finizens was developed under the umbrella of Axon Partners Group, an international private equity, strategy consulting and investment banking firm. The Finizens board of directors is composed of Francisco Velázquez and Alfonso de León, both managing partners of Axon Partners Group and executive co-chairs of Finizens, Giorgio Semenzato, CEO, and Martin Huete, Finizens board member, former CEO of Caja Duero Gestión, Inverseguros and Skandia. Among the investors are Caser Seguros, which has been supporting Finizens since its inception, but now joins the project as a shareholder and Fintech Ventures, the most active fintech investment vehicle in Spain.

The round is a further sign of the acceptance of this project in the market. The company's goal is to reach 120,000 clients by 2020 and to exceed three billion euros in assets under management.

Other investment management initiatives in Spain: Feelcapital and Indexa Capital

In Spain, different Robot Advisors such as Feelcapital or Indeza capital have been launched in recent years. Feelcapital analyses the data obtained with four chained quadratic algorithms and elaborates an optimal investment portfolio suitable for each client, taking into account their risk tolerance, expected return and investment time horizon.

Indexa Capital, closed a €1M round in December 2016.
