As PaaS solutions evolve, they will continue to deliver innovation and remove administrative and management complexity for everything from installation, configuration and commissioning to management, maintenance and auditing. They will achieve this through:  

  • Increased automation and autonomous operations for managed services;  
  • Extension and improvement of first and third party integrations;  
  • Native support for AI, IoT, blockchain, chatbots and other emerging technologies.  

The benefits of PaaS  

Companies that have adopted the outsourcing of infrastructure, applications and services entirely in the cloud or also hybrid use sharing the use with local structures, are obtaining a multitude of benefits such as cost reduction, time optimisation and focus on the business which increases the ROI (Return of Investment).  

Companies that want to join PaaS should be aware of the migration process and do their due diligence to understand exactly what type of service they need so that they can navigate the nuances between IaaS and PaaS and choose the best provider with the goal of not switching, as this may pose a problem for the company due to the different configurations of each server.  

Although costs are decreasing, it is important for companies to keep in mind that the service tends to dominate the market and that leading companies have been using this service for a long time, therefore, it is advisable for companies to migrate to this type of service as soon as possible in order to remain competitive in the market.

The adoption of PaaS, despite being mature and consolidated in the market, has an exorbitant estimated growth in the coming years, indicating a healthy evolution not only for PaaS but also as IaaS and other cloud services.
