Yogome has received an investment of $6M ('5.4 million) from Seaya Ventures., the Spanish venture capital fund led by Beatriz González and Michael Kleindl. Variv Capital and Endeavor Catalyst also participated in this Series A round with another 600,000$.
About YoGoMe
Yogome, a Mexican startup, has a collection of 1,000 mini-games and six apps for children from 6 to 11 years old, which have been endorsed by Yale University. These games promote personalised learning through a methodology based on games and characters.
Yogome's 95% customers are spread across the US, Latin America and Southeast Asia and has a presence in more than 50 countries. Its content is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
Yogome, which had previously received €4M and can boast of becoming the first startup 100% Mexican, outside the area fintechin raising Series A, the largest ever for a digital education company (edtech) from Mexico.
On the investment round received
The funds raised in this round will allow the company to expand its business to China, Korea and Japan and reach one million subscribers. At the moment, Yogome is based in Mexico and the US. "We want to be a world leader and we are innovating every day. We are in a high-growth space and with the investment from Seaya Ventures, a global fund with a proven track record and a team of experts in scaling, we are convinced that we have the necessary elements to achieve this".
