ClinicPoint welcomes Ona Capital into its shareholding structure
ClinicPoint, the marketplace to find doctors online at the best price, has received a new round of €800,000, giving entry to Ona Capital.

What is ClinicPoint?

ClinicPoint is an online portal for the sale of healthcare services, which is present in 60 Spanish cities with a portfolio of more than 34 medical specialities. The business model of ClinicPoint (formerly known as Medprivé) is based on the arrangement of preferential prices with private doctors and clinics. The firm works with providers such as Grupo IDC-Quirón, Sanitas and Grupo Asisa. In the coming years it wants to internationalise and reach new countries such as the United Kingdom and Italy.

ClinicPoint is also entering new markets. A month ago, it closed a collaboration agreement with Inithealth for the integration of its services in the Inithealth health and wellness technology platform aimed at large organisations and already implemented in more than a dozen insurance companies in the Spanish market. With this agreement, ClinicPoint will strengthen its line of business to groups (B2B), accelerating its implementation in the business segment by taking advantage of Inithealth's penetration in the large corporate sector.

Clinic Point's track record

Founded by doctors and specialists on the Internet, since 2012 it has been innovating the way patients access private medicine, making it affordable for everyone.

Founded in 2012, ClinicPoint has received 3 rounds of investment, giving entry to renowned investors in its shareholding.

Its first round was in 2013, a €500,000 round, in 2015 it received another €1M with the participation of Cabiedes and Partners and Faraday Venture Partners and now it is closing its third round with the entry of Ona Capital.

ClinicPoint's turnover in 2015 was €3M, slightly lower than in 2014, when the company grew considerably. As a young, start-up company, a lot of investment is needed, which is why the company still has negative ebitda, but without the investment it would have been impossible to grow at the rate it is doing.
