Bertin sells its multi-physics modelling business to CT Ingenieros

France's Bertin Technologies is the latest victim of the sale of all or part of their businesses for our experts in corporate finance. On 20 December, we learned of the sale of Bertin's business line to the Spanish company CT Ingenieros.

Since its foundation in 1956, Bertin (Tarnos, France) has been at the forefront of innovation, one of the main players in the field of industrial modernisation. It works with clients in the fields of energy, environment, defence, aerospace, industry or services.

Bertin sells its multi-physics modelling business to CT Ingenieros

Since January 2008, Bertin Technologies has belonged to the CNIM group. This industrial shareholder gives a large operational autonomy to its subsidiary, supporting its international growth strategy.

Bertin Technologies has a subsidiary in the United States (Bertin Corp.), and four other subsidiaries in France: Bertin Pharma, Vecsys, Saphymo and Ami Software.

About CT Ingenieros

CT Ingenieros (Getafe, Madrid) is an engineering company leader in technological innovation and present throughout the product life cyclefrom conception to after-sales service. It was founded in 1994 and currently employs more than 600 people.

It is a supplier to leading industrial companies in the aeronautical, automotive, railway, shipbuilding, industrial plant and renewable energy sectors. CT belongs to the international engineering group "The CT Engineering Group", with sites in Europe, America and Asia.

In terms of its financial data, at the end of 2017 it obtained a operating income of 66 million of euros. This represents a 16% growth in terms of the subsequent year, confirming a steady increase in turnover since 2010. EBITDA for 2017 amounted to EUR 2.3 million.The company obtained a return of 3.6% for the company.

Bertin sells its business to CT

On 20 December 2018, CT Ingenieros confirmed the acquires of the 100% of the multi-physics modelling and scientific computing business of Bertin. Neither party made public the amounts involved in the transaction.

With this acquisition CT strengthens its presence in France (Toulouse, Marseille, Nantes and Saint-Nazaire), Europe and international marketsThe company is consolidating its position as a provider of high-tech engineering services.

It also incorporates a team of engineers with extensive experience in state-of-the-art consulting and engineering services in the aeronautics, space, defence and nuclear energy sectors.
