Babibum and Nonabox: the baby world of Cabiedes

According to Capcorp, in 2012, two e-commerce companies related to the baby world have received investment from Venture Capital, curiously in both of them, Cabiedes & Partners has participated.

Babibum: the marketplace specialised in babycare

Babibum is the first marketplace specialised in childcare where you can buy online any product for babies and mums. It offers the widest catalogue so that parents can buy, in an easy way and at very competitive prices, everything they need for the care of their baby (hygiene, food, clothes, toys, child safety, layettes, etc...) They want to be "the Amazon of babies", making it as easy as possible to buy products online, and to be the marketplace of reference in the European market.

"They have received just over €1 million to carry out their European expansion plan. In addition to Cabiedes, other internet business angels such as Albert Armengol and Tomás Diago have also participated. They form a good team with extensive experience to successfully carry out an ambitious growth plan", says Diego Gutierrez (ABRA INVEST), an expert in SME growth and financing.

Nonabox, subscription model for pregnant women and babies.

March 2012 saw the launch of Nonabox, a company that develops a subscription e-commerce business model based on products for pregnant women and babies. Nonabox accompanies mothers during pregnancy and the first year of their baby's life, sending them a monthly selection of products suitable for each stage. Nonabox subscribers pay 25 euros a month to receive the selection of products. The company makes a special effort to obtain high quality products from leading brands.

"Cabiedes was accompanied by companies of the prestige of Betlesman and H-Farm Ventures. The amount of the investment is confidential. It is noteworthy that Cabiedes has made an investment at such an early stage, perhaps motivated by the good support of the other investors," analyses Diego Gutierrez.

The world of babies: source of new models

In addition to the aforementioned companies, there are several others that demonstrate that the world of babies is a source of new business models. Examples of this are, mamuky is a private online club selling children's fashion for children up to 12 years old, pre-mum fashion, childcare and children's footwear that can launch daily offers of products and services with discounts of up to 70%.Participa Secuoya. Growing upa children's clothing and toy exchange platform awarded by Seedrocket in 2010.

"Cabiedes was already familiar with the baby market since he invested in Parabebes in 2010 with €200,000 together with Roca and Junyent, this company came from Intercom's incubator" analyses Diego Gutierrez.
