The games sector accounts for 30% of the apps in the top 1000. In addition, the 7 dominant sectors account for 75% of the apps. One conclusion from the analysis is how the position changes depending on the day of the week. Gaming and entertainment related apps rise on weekends while productivity related apps rise on weekdays.
