The dental market in Spain consists of more than 800 companies and, according to figures provided by Fenin (Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies), generates a value of 713 million euros, a figure that is 8.7% more than the previous year.

Analysis of investment in Createch Medical
Straumann, a Swiss company specialising in implants, restoration and regenerative dentistry, has become the sole shareholder of the Spanish company Createch Medical, after acquiring the 70% of the company it did not already own for approximately CH 14M. The Swiss group also intends to increase its current workforce of around fifty highly qualified professionals in order to respond to the expected increase in activity.
In addition to improving equipment, increasing the workforce and strengthening R&D, Straumann plans to expand its international presence for Createch Medical. Europe is already a successful market, to which 70% of its exports are directed, and the challenge now lies in other destinations such as the United States or Japan.
Createch Medicalbased in Mendaro, Guipúzcoa, is dedicated to the manufacture of dental and maxillofacial prostheses using CAM/CAD technology.
