Lola Market acquired by Glovo: delivery platforms
Lola Market is one of the important IT shopping in September. It was founded in April 2015 and is an online platform that offers a quality service in online shopping for food products in supermarkets that are close to you. What distinguishes this company from others is the speed of delivery of the products and the care they take in the choice of product.
Glovo, on the other hand, is the famous product delivery platform born in Barcelona in 2015. In terms of acquisition, Glovo seeks to strengthen its quick service platform with the purchase of Lola Market. In turn, the Catalan platform also acquired Mercadao, the Portuguese Lola Market. The purchases totalled €170m and were made on 14 September.
Faromatics acquired by AGCO Corporation: technology farming
Faromaticswhich develops robots in the world of agriculture for the care of animals, improving productivity and the product for consumers. It is a Catalan company founded in 2014 and has raised a total of €711.1m over the course of its life, raising a total of €711.1m. AGCO Corporation is a US company that manufactures and distributes agricultural equipment. AGCO has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2003. The acquisition supports the US company's vision to be the most reliable partner to farmers for smart farming solutions.
Making Science buys Ad-machina: digital marketing
Spanish advertising platform Ad-machina was acquired on 3 September by Making Science, an expert in digital transformation and e-commerce based in Madrid. This information technology acquisition is Making Science's fifth, all of which took place in 2021. Making Science has been listed on BME Growth since February 2020 with the aim of consolidating its national and international presence. Stage Clear Studio bought by Thunderful AB: gaming
The Swedish company Thunder AB bought the Spanish video game developer Stage Clear on 2 September. The Swedish company is a group of video game developers, which includes Image & Form and Zonik, both Swedish companies, and is targeting PR and marketing for both companies. The acquisition was closed at 2.9 M$ (€2.5M) and is intended to further expand its gaming segment, while strengthening the Swedish group's in-house development capabilities.
Factum IT bought by Tresmares Capital
Another important IT acquisition in September came from the Madrid-based private equity firm Tresmares. On 14 September, it acquired Factum IT, a software company dedicated to security, network solutions, storage, databases and virtualisation. The transaction was valued at €25m and aims to boost the growth of the technology company, with the expectation of tripling its sales by 2026. Link to the news
