Red Points closes €10M investment round
Red Pointsa Catalan company that has developed a solution to protect content and brands on the internet against piracy and counterfeiting, has closed a €10M funding round.
The round, which aims to expand Red Points' business operations in the US and Europe, was led by venture capital firm Northzone, which was joined by previous investors Mangrove and Sabadell Venture Capital (Banco Sabadell's venture vehicle).
According to its president and founder Josep Coll, Red Points needs to lead the sector "in terms of technology, professional experience and knowledge" to remain the number one solution in the fight against intellectual property abuse. In this sense, Josep Coll added that this investment round brings them closer to that goal.
Jessica Schultz, a partner at Northzone, said Red Points' solutions are at the forefront of innovation, which is why she believes they have "a real competitive advantage compared to other offerings in the market" that are more service-focused.
