IFR Group, partner implementer of the Microsoft Dynamics AX solution in Spain, has announced the acquisition of the Alicante-based company MCA Informática. MCA Informática is a technology consultancy that, since 1993, has been dedicated to the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX solutions and systems projects.

IFR Group is one of the leading companies in the Spanish ICT market as a developer of sectorial business solutions using Microsoft Dynamics AX, now Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations. The company has offices in Madrid and Barcelona and its headquarters are located in Lleida. It has a staff of 120 people. It has a Software Factory where development engineers carry out work on Microsoft Dynamics solutions that are implemented for customers.
The company has more than 30 years of experience and is positioned in the market as the national reference implementer of integrated business management solutions in the Microsoft Dynamics world.
IFR has maintained steady growth in recent years. In 2015 it achieved a turnover of over €11M. IFR buys MCA
MCA, based in Alicante, has been developing IT solutions for all types of companies such as SMEs, Large Corporations and the Public Administration since 1993.
The company is organised in three main areas (Commercial/Administration), Systems and Software, within the latter there are two departments focused on the type of solutions, ERP and Applications. Microsoft Dynamics solutions (Navisión and Axapta) are also verticalised for various sectors such as Hotel Management and Ceramics.
IFR has acquired MCA with the aim of strengthening its presence in Levante and Murcia, increasing business capacity, as well as expanding the services it already offers to its established customers in the area.

In the first half of 2017, Microsoft partners have been very active in M&A transactions. In addition to the purchase by Quonext (Sage X3 Trece.biz unit), at international level, it has just been reported that Avanade has bought Infusion to further strengthen its relationship with Microsoft. We also recently learned that M4 Systems, a Microsoft partner specialising in the development and support of customised CRM and ERP solutions, has been acquired by SAG Global, a company that offers CRM implementation services to companies.
