Telefónica Open future and Coral group create an investment platform
Telefónica has created together with Coral Group for an investment platform to identify, create and offer innovative products and solutions to help improve communications services for its customers in Europe and Latin America.
Telefónica Open Future_the programme that integrates all of the Group's open innovation initiatives, will lead the Investment Platform with an investment commitment of $200M. In this way, Telefónica Open Future becomes one of the key players in the creation of "innovation factories" for the promotion of new and disruptive technologies that benefit Telefónica's 320 million customers.
Both Telefónica and Coral Group plan to secure the support of four other companies from around the world that share the same interest in innovation, which would allow Pic to have up to $1000M.
CaixaImpulse is born to promote the creation of companies in the scientific field.
CaixaImpulse is an initiative of Caixa capital Risk which offers an expert accompaniment programme and a financial support for the development and implementation of a valorisation plan for protected or protectable assets resulting from research, as well as for the development of a commercialisation plan for companies in the field of life sciences, medicine or health.
The services provided by Caixapulse include:
1A grant of €6,000 in living expenses for the programme participant.
2. Aid of up to €50,000 for the implementation of approved recovery plans.
3.The support of reference mentors from the industry, for the definition of the best possible valorisation and commercialisation plans.
4.Contact with companies, entrepreneurs and investors in order to contrast the valorisation and commercialisation plans, as well as to generate collaboration and business opportunities.
5. Specialised training and expert support in the fields of project management, technology valorisation, financing and marketing tools, and team development.
6.Access to the necessary talent to constitute or complement the team needed to carry out the project.
Cofides and Oman's SGRF fund create a $200M fund
Cofides and the omani sovereign wealth fund State General Reserve Fund launch a fund for the internationalisation of Spanish companies.
Both the SGRF and the Spanish government will contribute €100 million, which will represent an initial joint fund of €200 million. This fund will be available to subsidiaries of Spanish companies that are considering international projection plans with the intention of establishing a presence in Oman.
The main sectors targeted by the fund will be building materials, agri-food, infrastructure, energy and tourism.
