Verizon
Verizon Communications is an American broadband and telecommunications services company that operates 4G LTE and 3G networks and provides information and entertainment solutions.
The company serves residential, retail, wholesale and government customers by delivering broadband and other wireless and wired communications innovations. Verizon Communications Wireless operates the largest wireless network in the United States, serving nearly 102 million customers nationwide. Its cable operations are managed by Verizon Business and Verizon Telecom.
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in New York (USA), Verizon has made 24 acquisitions of companies in recent years, investing more than $27,000M. In 2017 it invested a total of $3.325M in the acquisition of telecommunications companies WideOpenWest and Straight Path Communications.
AT&T
AT&T is a telecommunications company that provides wireless communications services, local exchange and long distance solutions to individuals and businesses in the US and internationally.
The company offers its services in two segments: wireless telephony and fixed telephony. Its wireless segment offers voice, data, messaging and other services to about 110 million customers. It also sells through this segment products such as telephones, wireless-capable computers and wireless data cards for personal computers through its agents and retail shops.
The company's fixed telephony segment provides data services such as switched and dedicated transport, DSL Internet access, network integration, managed web hosting and corporate network services. This segment has served approximately 12 million residential customers, 10 million retail businesses and 2 million wholesale access lines.
Headquartered in Dallas (USA), AT&T has made nearly 30 acquisitions of companies in recent years, in which it has invested more than $153,000M.
Softbank
SoftBank is a Japanese multinational telecommunications and Internet company focused on broadband; fixed-line telecommunications; e-commerce; technology, finance and marketing services; among others.
The company was founded by Masayoshi Son in 1981 and is based in Tokyo, Japan. It has made more than 10 acquisitions in recent years, with more than $50,000M of investment. In 2017 it acquired private equity firm Fortress Investment Group and robotics companies Boston Dynamics and Schaft.

Telefónica
Telefónica is a diversified telecommunications group offering fixed and mobile telephony services. Founded in 1924, it currently operates in 21 countries and has more than 340 million customers, with an average of 127,000 employees.
Revenue was EUR 38,846 million in January-September 2017 and more than 344 million total accesses as of September 2017. It has 272.7 million mobile telephony accesses; 37 million fixed telephony accesses; more than 21.6 million data and internet accesses and more than 8.3 million pay-TV accesses.
Telefónica is a fully private company with more than 1.3 million shareholders and is listed on several of the world's leading stock exchanges.
In recent years it has acquired up to 13 companies, investing more than $43,000M. In 2017 it bought UK-based Statiq, which specialises in Big Data Analytics, for $$4.2M.
Airtel (India)
Bharti Airtel Limited, commonly known as Airtel, is an Indian multinational telecommunications services company headquartered in New Delhi, India. It operates in 20 countries in South Asia and Africa. The company has a GSM network in all the countries in which it operates, and provides 2G, 3G and 4G services depending on the country.
Airtel is the world's third largest mobile telecommunications company by number of customers, with over 275 million subscribers in 20 countries. In addition, it is the largest mobile and second largest fixed-line provider in India, as well as a provider of broadband and subscription television services.
