Miguel Zorita buys a majority stake in Drone Spain.
The former president of Deloitte Miguel Zorita has bought Dron Spain through Zima Capital Management.
Captained by Valencian Jaime Guillot, Dron Spain has until now specialised mainly in the audiovisual sector. With contracts as far away as the North Pole, they started up in August 2014, when they decided to create a company to focus on real estate and used drones to photograph villas.
Miguel Zorita wants to use these drones for industrial use as he is already doing in the company Daorje, an Asturian company which provides services to metallurgical groups such as Arcelor Mittal.
Alentia invests 450,000 euros in arbórea intellbird
Arborea Intellbird is a company from Salamanca that has developed a drone (Remotely Manned Aerial System or SARP) that enables inspections to be carried out at altitude in a wide range of sectors such as industrial infrastructures, agriculture and aerial photography.
"The CDTI and Iberdrola had already entered the capital of Arbórea Intellbird in 2014 to boost its launch and now that the company is commercialising its products and services, new investment partners have been sought to underpin the future growth of the company," says Diego Gutierrez of Arbórea Intellbird. Abra-Invest.
Investors in Alentia have decided to invest in Arbórea Intellbird, due to the great potential of the project in the inspection of all types of industrial infrastructures and the entrepreneurial character of its promoter, Carlos Bernabéu.
To carry out the investment, Alentia has created a special purpose vehicle. This type of vehicle provides a number of advantages such as the possibility of accommodating both large and small investors and the gain of negotiating strength against other parties, but also allows individual investors to benefit from the personal income tax deductions implemented by the Junta de Castilla y León in 2013.
