Relex Solutions acquires Forecast Solutions
The Finnish company Relex Solutions, provider of integrated solutions for planning in the Retail sector, has acquired Forecast Solutions, its Spanish distributor since 2016.
With this transaction, the amount of which has not been disclosed, Relex aims to increase its presence and investment in the Spanish market. In this way, Forecast Solutions' headquarters in Barcelona will become Relex's 11th international office, as a platform for the Latin American market.
Relex Solutions has partnered with Forecast Solutions, a demand and supply chain planning specialist, since becoming its Spanish distributor in 2016, and together they have closed a number of key deals in Spain. "Our companies have in common a complete dedication to our customers' success and to providing them with the best possible systems. This dedication has already proven successful in driving new business," explains Mikko Kärkkäinen, CEO of Relex Group.
Relex's R&D and project management resources, coupled with the Barcelona team's local supply chain expertise, place the retail planning and optimisation company in an ideal position to explore the growing interest of Spanish retailers in demand forecasting, replenishment, space and assortment management solutions, helping their customers to increase service levels while decreasing inventory and shrinkage.
