Difference between Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The difference between artificial intelligence and machine learning is that AI is the ability of computers to exhibit "intelligent" behaviour. Whereas Machine Learning is a technique used to create and improve such behaviour.. This is done through automatic training based on exposure to data.

As a method of creating AImachine learning specialises in statistical techniques for programming algorithms capable of learning to perform tasks. Thus, the machine learning is responsible for "learning", which is the basis for the various fields of application of artificial intelligence, such as Computer Vision to enable computers to recognise images, or Natural Language Processing to enable them to understand human language. The latter field of application is the basis for the well-known chatbots and virtual work assistants.
