Beneficiaries of other calls for proposals
Since the launch of GAITEK, several Basque companies have been successful in launching new projects:
GoCardio, for example, is a project carried out by Bilbomática, the CEIT-IK4 research centre, Vicomtech-IK4 and Biodonostia to develop an innovative portable system for monitoring patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation. The project was launched in 2012 and is now finalising its launch.
GoCardio is a T-shirt with a series of sensors that monitors the patient's activity and energy expenditure. It is easy and simple for anyone to use. In addition, a cloud platform has been developed to store data from a multitude of patients and offers advanced processing and visualisation tools to facilitate the monitoring tasks carried out by the medical team.
Mondragonlingua together with Vicomtech-IK4 and ISEA have made available to their clients a new automatic translation service, Plata, capable of generating multilingual content that allows them to reduce costs and increase efficiency in translation processes thanks to Gaitek's help.
The new machine translation engine is based on the analysis of previously translated content for each client, processing it to speed up new translation projects. The system reduces the number of words to be translated by human translators, resulting in cost savings of up to 25%. In addition, the engine allows the service to be streamlined, as the translation process is automated and integrated with the post-editing and proofreading tools. The developed product allows the use of docx, txt, HTML and odt documents, maintaining the original formatting of the document in the translation, such as bold characters, tables, images and graphics.
