Fast track to innovation (Fti-Pilot): launch of the 2015 programme
The call for the 6 challenge of H2020, fTI-Pilot, which aims at supporting the European economy by offering grants to innovative companies and organisations to enable them to bring innovative ideas to the market. This is the only challenge that is open to proposals in any area of technology or application. 

 

Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries must come from between three and five legal entities established in at least three EU Member States or countries associated to Horizon 2020. Actions funded by the pilot initiative have to be "...".business-driven"In order to ensure rapid market uptake, substantial industrial participation in projects will be mandatory.

The maximum time from the start of the project to market is 3 years. A business plan must be submitted with the proposal.

Characteristics of the initiative

The FTI pilot initiative will run from 2015 to 2016 with a total budget of €200M (€100M/year). In 2015 there will be 3 cut-off dates for evaluation: 29 April, 1 September and 1 December.

EU funding levels are set at 70% of eligible costs (except for universities and non-profit organisations).

 The EU contribution per share will be between €1M and €2M, except in justified cases up to €3M.
