Evaluation of the results of the Innterconecta projects completed in 2015
After gathering information about the economic and technological results achieved by the companies that have participated in the first 5 Innterconecta calls, we summarise the results obtained.
What is Innterconecta?

This aid, promoted by the Cdti, is designed to boost the generation of innovative capacities in less developed areas, through the financing of experimental development projects carried out by business consortia.

Participation in the first 5 Innterconecta calls.

The 5 calls analysed have resulted in the award of €250M for the financing of 189 Innterconecta projects, with a total investment of €528M. Nearly 800 companies have participated in the consortia. Among the sectors with the highest participation, the ICT sector stands out.

 

Results achieved through Innterconecta according to participating companies

Companies have grown

62% of the companies have launched new products and 58% have improved their existing products. 37% developed new processes.

Job creation

50% of the participating companies state that they created new jobs as a result of the project. Of these, 861 PT1T created jobs directly related to R&D activities.

Generation of economic activity

As a result of the INNTERCONECTA projects, 4 new companies have been created and 57 more are planned.

Patent applications

 The companies have applied for a total of 79 patents, of which 51 are owned by the representatives and the rest, 28, by their partners.

Companies have increased their R&D resources:

27% of the participants say that they have made new investments in technological infrastructures. 50% created employment in activities directly related to R&D. 80% increased their expenditure on these items.

 They have launched new R&D projects at the national level:

32% of the representatives and 24% of the partners declare that they have launched new cooperative projects.
