Cornerjob, a Spanish job search app, lets you know within 24 hours if your CV has been selected for an interview. This app, which was launched in the French and Italian market in 2015, has already received a total of $35M and the support of international investors.

Cornerjob's beginnings

Cornerjob was born in April 2015 in the incubator Antai Venture Builder, from which successful companies such as Wallapop or Deliberry have already emerged. At first it started operating in Italy and France and in 2016, it began operating in Spain and Mexico.

The firm is headquartered in Barcelona, where the marketing and technology operations base is also located. In addition, the company has sales offices in Milan, Rome, Paris, Madrid and Mexico City. It currently employs around fifty people.

Cornerjob receives its first round in March 2016

Already in March 2016, Cornejob received its first round of €12M, through the "media for equity". Mediaset Italia and Spain (through its subsidiary Ad4Ventures), Sabadell Venture Capital and Media Digital Ventures (MDV) participated in the first part of the €10M round, as well as the initial partners: Cube Investments, Ithaca Investments, Bonsai Venture Capital, Samaipata Ventures, Caixa Capital Risc, Variv and Antai Venture Builder itself.

Then, also in the form of media for equity, the French group TF1 became a shareholder. This operation made Cornerjob the first startup to have a 'media for equity' agreement with media outlets in France, Spain and Italy.

This first round helped Cornerjob to strengthen its position in its primary markets and to ensure that it could continue to invest in technology.

Cornerjob receives its second round, from $25M

The European fund  Northzone led this round, with a contribution of $20M, while the rest was contributed by e.ventures and investors who had already backed the company in the past.

This round has helped them to continue to grow and position themselves as market leaders in Southern Europe.
