The Capgemini Group strengthens its position as a leader in engineering, R&D and professional services outsourcing with the acquisition of Altran Technologies. An amicable acquisition, with the unanimous approval of the Boards of Directors of both companies.
CAPGEMINI: CONSULTING, TECHNOLOGY AND OUTSOURCING
It is a French consultancy firm and a leading global provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. This operation allows it to create an IT engineering giant in order to capitalise on the growing market for engineering outsourcing services.

The operation has been closed in 3.600 M€ and includes the assumption of 1.400 M€resulting in a total operation of some 5.000 M€. The company believes that this acquisition is perfectly aligned with the vision set out in its strategic plan.
The combination of Capgemini and Altran Technologies will create a group with revenues of €17 billion and more than 250,000 employees. In addition, with annual growth forecast at around 9% in engineering and R&D services, the new entity will position itself as the world's leading player in this sector, with a strong presence in the US and Europe.
