About FOND-ICO Global
The Fond-ICO Global fund of funds was created in 2013 in response to one of the biggest requests from Venture Capital in Spain, which called for greater public sector involvement at a time of serious difficulties for investment and capital raising in Spain. It is therefore an instrument that seeks to facilitate the attraction of foreign capital and the leveraging of private capital.
Since then, investments worth €1,424M have been approved for 64 funds, which will mean the investment of almost €6,000M in Spanish companies. So far, around €1.5 billion has been mobilised in more than 300 Spanish companies employing more than 97,000 workers.
