We take a look at the largest financing rounds that have taken place in 2017 in the Sales Automation sector. In addition, we analyse the €12M funding round closed by ForceManager, the Spanish startup that has developed the first AI (Artificial Intelligence) based sales assistant platform.

About ForceManager

ForceManager is the first AI (Artificial Intelligence) based conversational mobile assistant for sales teams. The company was founded in 2011 in Barcelona by Óscar Macia and Xavier Bisbal with the aim of improving the UX, design and mobile adaptation of the technology that sales teams have to handle in their day-to-day work outside the office. ForceManager's intelligent platform effectively manages sales teams with field salespeople, improving results and increasing sales activity.

Designed for use on smartphones, tablets and Apple Watch, the system detects location and provides contextual information on the go. This increases salespeople's efficiency by allowing them to devote all their time to selling and avoiding cumbersome data entry and report preparation.

ForceManager has managed to position its platform as a sales assistant for sales teams, rather than a CRM, which has resulted in the highest rate of active users, 80%, making it the market leader in adoption. The Spanish startup operates from London, Barcelona, Madrid, Mexico City and Bogota, with an international presence in more than 35 countries around the world. Its client portfolio includes multinationals such as Electrolux, CEMEX, Dish, Thyssen Krupp, Ford and Verisure, among others, and it has more than 100 employees of 15 different nationalities.

Since 2016 ForceManager has been an Apple MPP and has built a strategic alliance with IBM, affirming its position as a pioneer in AI field sales technology.

ForceManager receives €10.2M in funding round

The objective of this investment round is to accelerate its international expansion and to continue its commitment to sales AI research and development, which together with its intuitive and easy-to-use sales assistant application design will smooth the process of sales software adoption by field sales teams around the world.

ForceManager aims to transform the smartphone into a real-life personal assistant, humanising the interaction between the user and the system to help field sales teams in the field.
