Restb.ai, specialising in image recognition-based business solutions, has received a €1.2M investment to support its expansion. The round was backed by Lanta Capital, Capitana Venture Partners, Athos Capital and Tandem Capital and US investor Court Westcott LLC.

It is a Catalan company, founded in 2015, which has created an intelligent system to recognise inappropriate photos on the internet through deep learning technology. This intelligent classifier has the capacity to analyse and identify some 12 million images a day.
The company's system allows each company to create and adjust its own classifier to its specific needs, in this case, socially sensitive content, so that it can instantly categorise and discard those that do not correspond to its business model, Esteban explained.
This is the first round of investment for the company, which was founded thanks to its own funds and a loan from Enisa. The company currently employs 11 people and its clients include real estate and car portals and anyone who wants to block inappropriate content.
