Aramisauto.com, Europe's leading car dealer, takes over Spain's Clicars
Clicars, the startup Spanish online car buying and selling service, achieved a turnover of 5 million euros in its first year. According to the accounts filed in the commercial register, this is a record. Never before has such a young company achieved such a turnover.
About Clicars

Clicars is a Madrid-based company founded in 2015, which in its first year of life achieved a turnover of €5M. Its activity focuses on the sale of second-hand cars online, without the need for intermediaries.

The potential of Clicars was already apparent a few months after its birth, when it raised a €1M round of funding from executives from the automotive sector and the financial world, such as former presidents and board members of Mercedes-Benz, General Motors, Santander and Mapfre. In addition, Seaya Ventures also participated.

Among the keys to its success is innovation in the buying process, which allows customers to buy or sell a car without leaving home and without worrying about paperwork, with possibilities such as electronic signatures.

Clicars currently operates nationally, but this new purchase is an incentive to explore international markets.

Clicars has won the RTVE award for emerging company of the year.

Aramisauto.com is a French online car sales platform, leader in the European market. The company had a turnover of €360M in 2016 and sold 32,000 cars online.

Last year, the PSA Group (Peugeot , Citroën, Opel and Vauxhall) bought a stake in the firm with the aim of moving further into the world of second-hand cars, a market which is twice the size of the new car market and represents a clear business opportunity.
