It seems that Cabiedes has once again started his process of attracting new investees, if until June he had only participated in one company this year, in the summer months he has decided to invest in 4 more.

In terms of the sectors in which the video sector is investing, with Yotbee and Tvisohis latest investee, is in the lead. Cabiedes had already invested in Floqq a video platform that connects students and teachers.

Another sector in which Cabiedes is investing is Fintech. After having Bankimia, Comunitae or Indexa Capital, this year it has opted for Besepa.

In the words of Jose M. Cabiedes himself, "We have a very clear focus for the fintechbecause it is an industry that is set to evolve a lot over the next few years. And it comes from a dynamic where the customer is becoming more exposed to this industry than ever before. The new generations are less loyal and more courageous with respect to their financial provider, and that is allowing disintermediation... That helps that, among the big financial structures, these types of startups are sneaking in, which are very efficient and which we love".

Successful companies in which Cabiedes has a stake

Cabiedes has made successful divestments, such as the sale of Blablacar in 2014. With this operation, Cabiedes achieved a "Home Run": in other words, they recovered everything they had invested in the rest of the 37 operations they had underway up to that day..

Cabiedes also has a stake in Privaliaan online fashion outlet, which this year was bought by Vente Privee for €470M.

What does an entrepreneur in whom Cabiedes would invest need to know?

"Firstly, that companies are financed by customers and not by investors; there are now many entrepreneurs who are more obsessed with doing rounds than with selling. Secondly, that not all opportunities are worthwhile, there are good and bad ones, just as in Formula 1 there are good and bad cars, and if not, just ask Fernando Alonso. And thirdly, that training and experience increase the chances of success, just as training increases the chances of winning a match.
