Telecom operator Excom buys Wifiways in line with its growth strategy in Spain.
Excom wants to grow in Spain and is doing so by means of acquisitions and commercial agreements with companies in the sector, proof of which is that in the last year it has bought Wifiways, Central Phone, Ipok and Internet Canarias.m&A TICS.

Buys Wifiways and signs agreement with Liberweb

Excom, Internet provider and pioneer in several broadband distribution projects in non-urban and rural environments, following its strategic plan to exceed €10M turnover in 4 years, has acquired Wifiways, a reference company in the Spanish Levante region.

"In Spain there are still areas with low-capacity fixed broadband access. Excom is committed to growth in this segment by investing in those areas with quality demand not met by FTTH. We also believe we are a good partner for those local operators that want to undertake the technological migration to 4G with a national reference operator with proven experience", says Luis Abenza, CEO of Excom.

Excom is betting heavily on levanta, and in addition to the purchase of Wifiways, it has signed a commercial agreement with Lliberweb, another alternative operator in the region, by which it will integrate its customers.

In order to finance the growth plan for the coming years, the Company is currently in talks with several investors with a financial profile that will provide sufficient muscle for this new expansion phase.

Previous operations: Central Phone, Ipok and Internet Canarias

In October Excom bought Canary Islands operator Internet Canarias as part of its commitment to 4G LTE fixed access networks.

In November 2015, Excom acquired Central Phone and Ipok to consolidate its position as the main alternative operator of reference in the Levant and strengthen its technical and commercial strength in the area as well as its presence in the business and corporate market, where it was barely present.

According to Luis Abenza, CEO of Excom, "With this operation, we can help SMEs and local councils in these regions in all matters related to telecommunications, offering complete solutions ranging from Internet connection and voice lines to comprehensive telecommunications projects, helping them with everything they need to improve their competitiveness and technology," said Luis Abenza.n. And most importantly, with local presence and resources," says Luis Abenza, CEO of Excom.
