Beneficiaries Spanish companies Phase I
63 Spanish companies have been beneficiaries of sme phase I in 2015 between the calls for proposals in March and June. the predominant sectors have been ICTs, the food sector and biotechnology, with 8 projects each. The energy sector also played a leading role with 7 beneficiary companies.
Among the beneficiaries are companies such as Counterest, Conservas Fredo and Iden Biotechnology.
Counterest measures people, customers and capacity in real time and provides data to predict which days to work less or increase security at busy stations.
Conservas Fredo, an anchovy trading company that is gaining presence in the international market.
Iden Biotechnology develops innovative technologies through R&D projects, based on the use of cutting-edge agro and microbiotechnological tools.
Spanish beneficiaries phase II 2015
15 Spanish companies have benefited from these grants in 2015, 8 in the June call and 7 in the March call.
Energy and biotechnology, with 3 companies, were the sectors that benefited most. In terms of geographical area, San Sebastian stands out, with 3 companies.
Beneficiaries SME instrument phase II March globally
A total of 42 SMEs from 14 countries have been selected in the March call of this Phase 2 instrument, out of 614 proposals submitted.
Spanish SMEs have once again been particularly successful with 7 beneficiaries receiving approximately €12.6M. They are closely followed by companies from Italy, Finland, France, the Netherlands and the UK.
Since the launch of the programme (January 2014), 214 SMEs from 22 countries have been selected in Phase 2 of the "SME Instrument" with a total budget of more than €294 million.
For each project, participants will receive up to €2.5 million (up to €5 million for health projects) to finance innovation activities and the development of their business plans. Companies will also be entitled to benefit from up to 12 days of "business coaching".
