Hidráulicas Jimol and Hydromodel, water industry companies receive funding
According to a report by RobecoSAM, the water business is a $600 billion market globally and is growing between 1% and 2% faster than global GDP. In Spain, spending is around €7,000 M. Water services, such as household supply, account for 55% of this total; wastewater treatment 38% and water for industry 6%. Although we are below the European average, Spain has companies that want to grow and achieve a leading position in the market. In recent months we have seen companies such as hidráulicas Jimol and Hydromodel receive funding for this purpose.

Murcia emprende invests in hydraulics Jimol

Murcia undertakes ha invertido en hidráulicas Jimol, una empresa de Cartagena dedicada al diseño, fabricación, montaje y reparación de maquinaria para el reciclaje y el medioambiente.

The transaction, whereby Murcia emprende acquired 36% of the company's capital, was by way of equity and participating loan.

Thanks to the contribution of Murcia Emprende, Hidráulica Jimol intends to undertake an expansion plan that includes the acquisition of its own facilities, investment in machinery, implementation in other areas of Spain and internalisation.

With this investment, Murcia emprende reinforces its presence in innovative startups and continues to support new technologies that are developed in Murcia but have national repercussions.

Hydromodel receives funding from Vento

Wind has closed its second investment by investing €750.000 in Hydromodel.

"Its first investment was made at the beginning of 2015 with the purchase of the 30% from the Valencian company Seinon, which specialises in energy saving solutions," says Diego Gutierrez of Abra-Invest

Hydromodel Host is a Catalan technology company that has developed software to predict the state of aquifers at any given time, in order to manage them efficiently. Among the projects in which Hydromodel has participated is the expansion of the Panama Canal.

With the entry of Vento and the contribution of the new resources, the company will strengthen its technological capacity, boost its growth strategy and accelerate its business plan in the market.

Vento is a venture capital of the Innvierte programme, promoted by Aqualogy and the CDTI. This summer Suma Capital was chosen to manage and develop the investment vehicle.
