Analysis of medical research software companies

The use of software in medical research has a number of applications that are making researchers' jobs easier. There are already several companies that have received funding in the sector such as Caliper Life Sciences, a leading provider of cutting-edge technologies that enable researchers in the life sciences sector to develop diagnostic tests and drugs. Caliper received a $1OM round in 2010 and in 2011 was acquired by PerkinElmer.(+)
