Fiware programme, towards the city of the future.

80 million to companies and entrepreneurs developing applications based on FI-WARE, a platform that represents an open option for the development and global deployment of applications in the Future Internet.

 

What is Fiware?

An open middleware platform on which to develop new Future Internet applications and services.

 

Type of aid

The aid consists of a total of 80M and  a plan to mentoring  50,000 to 150,000 euros for each selected company to support the transformation of ideas into commercial products. Sixteen accelerators have been established and will be responsible for distributing the funding and offering the support programme.

 

Who can participate?

The call for applications is open to any entrepreneur, SME, startup or company interested in developing an application using FIWARE. Proposals can be submitted to any of the 16 accelerators, choosing by proximity or by sector, as each of them is specialised in one of the areas of the programme

To which sectors does it apply?

Smart Cities, ehealth, Transport, Energy, Environment, Agrifood, Media and Content, Manufacturing and Logistics, or Social and Learning.

 

How to access funding?

To qualify for funding, interested parties must submit a sound business proposal. They will have at their disposal the technology of Fiwarewhose specifications open source are public and free of royalties and will receive technical support and advice in the development of their business model.
