Founded in 1991, Interfile provides credit management services and solutions to the vast majority of major brands operating in the country's financial sector. It has more than 1,700 employees, two BPO service centres, 28 operational offices and more than 1,400 workstations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interfile sees the deal as an opportunity to be able to offer its customers higher value products.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Atento had already acquired in September 2016 a majority stake in R Brasil Solu\u00e7\u00f5es, which operates in the field of recovery solutions,\" says Diego Guti\u00e9rrez of Abra-Invest.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>About Atento<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n

It is a company founded by Telef\u00f3nica in 1999, which offers CRM and BPO solutions through multichannel platforms, including back office, SAC, service desk, technical support, recovery and sales. The company operates in 14 countries and is a leader in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking market in Latin America, Mexico and Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2012 Telef\u00f3nica<\/a> sold Atento to the group of companies controlled by private equity fund Bain Capital<\/a> and in 2014 it went public on Wall Street.<\/span><\/p>\n

This acquisition is part of the strategy to continue growing in Latin America and creates the largest BPO credit generation service provider in Brazil, with a market share of 10.4% and more than 4,000 professionals with \u00aba strong specialisation\u00bb in this business segment.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Corporate finance analysis Atento<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n

Atento is going through critical times, <\/strong>its net profit in 2016 recorded a decline of 92.8% in 2016 with a figure of $$3.4M, although it doubled its profit (+131.9%) in the fourth quarter to $16.7M (\u20ac15.5M).<\/span><\/p>\n

Atento's revenue was 1TP2Q1,757.5M in 2016, down 1.4% on a 6.5% increase in revenue in the Americas, and declines of 7% and 3.1% in Brazil and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).<\/span><\/p>\n

For the current financial year, Atento expects headwinds to \u00abease\u00bb, and therefore forecasts a turnover growth of between 1% and 5%, excluding the impact of foreign exchange. Meanwhile, it projects that earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) will increase by between 11% and 12%.<\/span><\/p>\n
