Quir\u00f3n, which merged in 2014 with IDC Health<\/a>The company has 39 care centres and some 300 occupational risk prevention centres, as well as a workforce of 35,000 people.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the merger, the group has been incorporating new hospitals such as Ruber and Cl\u00ednica Rotger in Palma de Mallorca, which belonged to the CVC fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fresenius Helios<\/a><\/span> is the largest private hospital operator in Germany. Headquartered in Berlin, it operates 112 clinics. Last year, its sales amounted to \u20ac 5.578 billion and operating profit to \u20ac 640 million. It is part of one of Germany's 30 largest groups of companies, the Fresenius Group<\/a>. It is listed on the stock exchange, with a current market value of more than 37 billion euros and sales of more than 25 billion euros and some 200,000 employees. In addition to its hospital business in Germany, it is a world leader in the treatment of kidney diseases through Fresenius Medical Care; a provider of medicines, medical devices and services for the critically ill through Fresenius Kabi; and a healthcare infrastructure manager through Fresenius Vamed.<\/span><\/p>\n

HM Hospitals<\/span> is the leading private hospital group in the Madrid and Galician regions and the second largest group in terms of healthcare activity in Spain. In 2016 it carried out 4 mergers and acquisitions<\/a>The company's aim was to maintain its position, after seeing how its competitors were growing in the sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

In January, it acquired 100 % of the property of Gabinete M\u00e9dico Vel\u00e1zquez (GMV), after reaching an agreement with Unilabs, its owner since 2011. GMV is a reference centre for gynaecological activity in the Community of Madrid since its incorporation 30 years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

In February it acquired a 50% from the San Francisco clinic in Le\u00f3n and in June it decided to acquire the other remaining 50%. In addition HM Hospitales does not rule out making more mergers and acquisitions<\/a> in the province of Le\u00f3n and in the autonomous community.<\/span><\/p>\n

In May, HM Hospitales buys Centro M\u00e9dico La Paloma and its two satellite centres in Torrej\u00f3n to reinforce its hospital project in Alcal\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n
