Neotec is a cdti programme to support the creation and consolidation of new technology-based companies, through a non-refundable grant that covers 70% of the operating budget for the first two years. The 2015 beneficiaries were announced in March 2016 and a new call for applications is expected to be launched soon.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Resolution of approved projects Neotec 2015 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 53 projects out of the 470 submitted were approved in the last Neotec call, representing 11% of the total number of approved projects. These projects have obtained an average of \u20ac160,731, representing a total budget of more than \u20ac8.5M.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project success stories<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

One of the projects that has received funding is Billin<\/a><\/span>a Spanish startup for electronic invoicing and invoice exchange over the Internet, which, in addition to Neotec, has just received a \u20ac4M round of funding, and has just partnered with GoCardless<\/strong>The UK online payment network to offer direct debit services, which ensure that bills are collected when they are due via the tool.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Another of the projects selected in the field of biotechnology is Ledalgae from the Asturian biotechnology company NeoAlgae.<\/span><\/p>\n

NeoAlgae<\/span> has received \u20ac124,362 for the industrialised production of astaxanthin from microalgae. This company focuses its activity on aquaculture, more specifically on microalgae - focusing its market on human food, animal feed and nutraceuticals.<\/span><\/p>\n

A3 SEC, spin-off of\u00a0<\/strong>AlienVault<\/span>, <\/strong>which provides\u00a0s<\/strong>oduction, professional services, training and official certification of SIEM products, IT Security and Big Data Solutions in Spain and LATAM, has also received funding for the development of a technological platform for the integrated management of it assets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next Neotec call for proposals<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Neotec 2016 call for proposals is expected to open soon and, like last year, is expected to be in the form of a grant. Last year it was up to 250k\u20ac non-repayable grant covering 70% of the first two years' operating budget.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the requirements for participation last year were:<\/span><\/p>\n

-Company less than 4 years old<\/span><\/p>\n
