This study includes 93 companies that offer IOT solutions in the manufacturing sector, including the main functionalities:<\/span><\/p>\n

-The use of IOT to optimise efficiency in the supply chain and production.<\/span><\/p>\n

-IOT in freight transport<\/span><\/p>\n

-Prediction to detect faults, bottlenecks, product lifetime.<\/span><\/p>\n

-The use of IOT to analyse the data captured by the company.<\/span><\/p>\n

-IOT for better machine efficiency: remote control, connecting machines<\/span><\/p>\n

-Iot for greater energy efficiency in manufacturing<\/span><\/p>\n

The companies analysed have received between 2007 and 2015 more than $1600M in alternative financing, mainly from venture capital, but in recent years we have seen a significant increase in Seed and Angels rounds, which shows that this is a sector in which new companies are being created and which still has a long way to go.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0In 2015 investment in the sector has skyrocketed, the number of rounds has grown by 30% and the volume invested has grown from $106M to $211M.<\/span><\/p>\n
