According to an International TechTalk report, the technology industry generated $84,000M in M&A transactions<\/a> and mergers and acquisitions<\/a> during the first quarter of 2015. Companies want to grow at a time when there is so much competition in the market. Below we detail the M&A operations that have had Spanish companies as protagonists in May.<\/span><\/address>\n

JustEat buys Food2u<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Just Eat <\/span>has acquired the Spanish mobile food delivery app Food2U to strengthen Just Eat's position in the online food delivery market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Food2U's operation is based on the geolocation of the user's device to offer information about the restaurants that serve in the area from which the query is made.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the creation of Food2u, the startup has expanded its growth throughout Spain, covering establishments in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza, Malaga and Palma.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Jes\u00fas Rebollo, managing director of Just Eat in Spain, stated a few months ago that in the food delivery business it is key to generate economies of scale, as it is necessary to reach a sufficiently large volume to generate the necessary profit to survive.<\/span><\/p>\n

SoyDigital buys Vcentral<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Soydigital Network<\/a><\/span>a company that offers customer services has bought the Spanish app.a Vcentral<\/span><\/span> <\/span>which allows you to configure virtual switchboards on a smartphone or tablet.<\/span><\/p>\n

The agreement covers the acquisition of the app, the web version and the portfolio of active customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The app that won an award at the\u00a0Platinum Contact Center Awards<\/strong>\u00a0as the best navigation solution in 2013, has more than one hundred active companies that, after the agreement, join SoyDigital's portfolio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spec merges with Octime<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Catalan company SPEC<\/a>specialising in the development of time and attendance and access control software, has merged with the French software maker OCTIME <\/a><\/span>to create a group specialising in the time and attendance and access control sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The SPEC Group has more than 35 years of experience and has its own offices in Portugal and Argentina. It also has strategic partners in several countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. It currently has more than 4,000 clients worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"The objective of the merger is to increase and strengthen our product and service offering to become a benchmark company in access management software,\" says Diego Gutierrez.<\/span><\/p>\n
