Yesterday, 20th May, the 2015 call for applications for grants under the Strategic Action for the Digital Economy and Society (AEESD) for the 2015 financial year was launched. % grant<\/strong> and may go up to 50% for SMEs depending on the qualification and that projects must be individuals<\/strong> consortia may not apply. The following is a summary of the most important conditions.<\/span><\/address>\n

<\/p>\n

Two sub-programmes have been launched:<\/span><\/p>\n

Sub-programmes:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A.- Technological Impulse Sub-programme: its objective is to promote investment in information and communications technologies with a low level of maturity.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is aimed at promoting technologies with a low level of maturity and a high potential for transforming the ICT sector through the implementation of high-risk technological projects.<\/span>
\n-Industrial research and experimental development projects.<\/span>
\n-Budget: minimum 200,000 euros and maximum 2 million euros.<\/span>
\nProjects have to be carried out in the\u00a0individual modality.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

B.- Large Projects Sub-programme: its objective is to encourage the start-up of projects with a high potential for transformation and a marked tractor effect on other entities.<\/span><\/p>\n

They are aimed at encouraging the implementation of large projects with high technological value and high potential for traction and socio-economic impact.<\/span>
\n-Industrial research and experimental development projects based on technologies falling under the thematic priority of industries of the future.<\/span>
\n-Minimum budget of 2,000,000 euros and a maximum of 10,000,000 euros.<\/span>
\n-Projects must be carried out in the\u00a0individual modality.<\/strong><\/span>
\n-Projects must have subcontracts amounting to at least 25 per cent of the budget.<\/span><\/p>\n

Type of projects<\/span>:<\/strong>\u00a0industrial research and experimental development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beneficiaries<\/span>:<\/strong>\u00a0Companies incorporated before 31\/12\/2011, except in the case of entities that come from other pre-existing entities due to a change of name, merger, absorption and spin-off of companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Duration:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0projects can last up to and including 31 December 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maximum grant amounts<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n

(a) 50 % for SMEs and 40 % for all other beneficiaries provided that a score of 17 points or more is achieved in the assessment of the technological innovation criterion.<\/span><\/p>\n

b) 35 % for SMEs and 25 % for all other beneficiaries, provided that a score of 13 points or more is achieved in the assessment of the technological innovation criterion.<\/span><\/p>\n

(c) 30 % for SMEs and 20 % for all other beneficiaries provided that a score of 8 points or more is achieved in the assessment of the technological innovation criterion.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Characteristics of the loan:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Amortisation over 5 years with 2 years grace period.<\/span>
\nInterest rate 0.180%<\/span>
\nCan complete up to 100% of the budget.<\/span><\/p>\n

Payment<\/strong><\/span>:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>will be implemented in 2 phases, by 75% and 25% respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Guarantees:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

-Guarantees shall be provided for payment, the amount of which depends on the beneficiary's rating in the financial solvency criterion.\u00a0The minimum shall be 10% and the maximum shall be 40%.<\/strong><\/span>
\n-They must be submitted in the form of \"Guarantees provided by credit institutions or mutual guarantee societies\" unless the amount is less than 1,000 euros, in which case a cash guarantee will be allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Job creation:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>where the terms of the decision stipulate an obligation to recruit new staff, beneficiaries must justify a net increase in the number of employees on the payroll compared to the time of submission of the application.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Modifications<\/span>:\u00a0<\/strong>any modification will have to be authorised.<\/span><\/p>\n

Industries of the future:<\/span>
\no Components and systems.<\/span>
\no Future Internet.<\/span>
\no Cloud Computing Solutions.<\/span>
\no Solutions for mass data processing.<\/span>
\no High Performance Computing (Supercomputing).<\/span>
\no Robots and autonomous systems.<\/span>
\no Smart cities.<\/span>
\no Internet of Things.<\/span>
\nCybersecurity and digital trust.<\/span>
\nHealth and well-being.<\/span>
\nAgri-food and environmental management, energy efficiency and transport and logistics.<\/span>
\nDigital content.<\/span>
\nEligible expenditure:<\/strong><\/span>
\nStaff: own, partners and self-employed dependents. Maximum hourly rate of 50 euros.<\/span>
\nCosts of instruments and inventoriable material. Depreciation only, to be calculated according to the % to be determined by the company.<\/span>
\nSubcontracting. Invoices must be paid within 60 days of the provision of the service or delivery of the good in order to be admissible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overheads:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Indirect costs of 15% of staff expenditure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Professional training costs for imputed staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expenditure on protection through industrial and intellectual property.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expenditure on non-inventoriable material used in carrying out the project and the costs corresponding to the linkage fees in international programmes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deadline for submission<\/strong>:<\/span>\u00a018 June 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n
