\"Machine learning is attracting a lot of interest from tech giants, who are spending a lot of money and effort to hire the best machine learning researchers. Companies in the sector are aware of this and are making a great effort to grow and offer highly advanced machine learning services that can be applied in a wide range of sectors. Proof of this is that if 4 years ago the sector scenario was a growth of 45% in number of companies per year, in the last 2 years, this growth has stagnated a little giving prominence to the growth in number of financing rounds obtained per year in the sector.<\/span><\/address>\n

Machine learning applied to different sectors<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The sector par excellence is software, where we have found 25\u00a0<\/span>companies in the industry, these companies enable the transformation of large volumes of data by adding predictive and analytics capabilities to machine learning capabilities, such as Spanish\u00a0Clever Task<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>which uses learning from past data to predict future behaviour.<\/p>\n

They are followed by the analytics and advertising sectors, where we found 19 and 12 companies respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acquisitions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The key mergers and acquisitions<\/a> en el sector todav\u00eda son muy escasas. La mayor\u00eda\u00a0 de estas operations<\/strong> have been made in the USA, there is only one company that is not American, that is Belgian.\u00a0NGDATA<\/span>,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0dedicated to increasing customer lifetime value through data information processing. The companies acquired by NGDATA have been\u00a0ENQIO<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in March 2013 and\u00a0Outerthought\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>in 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Google<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0stands out as the most active buyer in the sector and has already made three purchases: two of these, the purchase of\u00a0Emu Messenger<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 and\u00a0Impermium<\/span><\/a><\/span>The following events were carried out in 2014.
