The sector that leads the list of investments<\/strong> The next largest sector in venture capital is the internet, which so far this year has achieved a total of 42 operations, followed by the technology sector with 37 operations registered, and well behind, the distribution and retail sector, with 4 operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Operations May<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Among the most noteworthy operations in May were the following financing rounds<\/strong>Nuubo, a startup dedicated to the development of wearable technologies, has received a \u20ac3M round from Caixa Innvierte BioMed II, and CRB Inverb\u00edo, through its CRB Bio II fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tritium Software, a Barcelona-based startup that develops the Force Manager business management software, has closed a new deal with the company investment round<\/strong> 2.8m led by the fund Nauta Capital and which has been accompanied by existing shareholders such as the family office Histemi Inversiones, owned by the Vent\u00f3s family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Playthe.net, a Cuenca-based startup dedicated to digital signage, has just closed a \u20ac1.5 million financing round led by Kibo Ventures, through its Amerigo fund, participated by Telef\u00f3nica and CDTI and other institutional investors and business angels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fashion Pills, an online shop selling trendy clothing and accessories, has closed a new financing round<\/strong> 500,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

New funds<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, in May, venture capital firms such as Caixa Capital Risk and Inveready raised new funds, which will inject more liquidity for SMEs.<\/span><\/p>\n

La Caixa\" has reinforced the instruments of funding<\/strong> for early-stage innovative companies with the creation of a new investment vehicle, Caixa Capital Micro II. The fund, managed through Caixa Capital Risc, the \"la Caixa\" Group's venture capital management company, has been set up with an initial endowment of \u20ac9M.<\/span><\/p>\n
